I whole hardheartedly agree with you. I remember reading Game of Thrones while I was deployed, it they gave me some measure of comfort, now it is just frustration.

I imagine we'll get more details surrounding the ending adaptation after it's aired, because this is going to go down in flames of rage that will threaten that prequel series HBO is cooking up. Everyone will want to make sure to point the finger at GRRM's source material for the ending in a poor attempt at damage control.

Yup, guys. REMEMBER XENA. Remember when THAT happened. It's been TWENTY years since the end of that show. I highly suspect the SAME thing will happen to Game of Thrones. They know how to START something..they just don't know how to END it. Same thing with Beauty and the Beast, that show I referenced earlier. I knew well enough to stay as far away from GOT thanks to how they fucked up Beauty and the Beast (and yes, Law..that includes GRRM)
Honestly? I typically defend people who still willingly watch them. I enjoy it for what it is, even if I hate where it's going these last couple seasons.

PREDICTION: Emilia Clarke is going to be the British Linda Hamilton. Mark my words. I was WONDERING if you were also a Xena fan during X:WP's "glory days", Lonewolf. Sorry for that reference. That's the only 'ending' of a popular franchise I could think of. And, if you think that was bad..? This will be ten times WORSE. I suspect there will be NO 'getting over' this one. Even Xena has had hints of a reboot. GOT? NO.
