Damn, I hope Netflix counts.. 'cause since 'current' was specified, it's probably Orange is the New Black. What can I say, I like the drama/humor mix...

What is your favorite song? And why?
Thats a toss up between
The Thunder Rolls - Garth Brooks. (The Double Live Extended Verison) or Callin Baton Rouge. - Garth Books (Also the live version)
The Thunder Rolls was the song that actually got me into country, and makes me think of my mom. (not because of song content mind you, but because shes the one that played the song for twenty+ years ago) - we actually saw Garth Brooks live last year. Callin baton rouge is the go to road trip song for me and my siblings, we all sing it together. So it has some fun memories attached to it.
Question: If the Apocalypse happened, what sort of dooms day would you want?
I say how about a fluffy apocalypse. Like maybe... Suddenly puppies! Then everything blinks into nonexistence, but then our souls would be sent to some beach party in the sky (of course all the fluffy animals will be there too). Or something. But yeah... I don't mind dying because of puppers (even if I'm a bit allergic to their fur). Totes worth it.
What is your dream home? ;D or rather, if you could pick your home to be any place, and anything... what and where would it be?
I had to actually check four different fanfic vocabulary sites before I found it. (like a newb...)
GoT fandom, is actually, uh... Sansaery (though I may be stoned to death for it ::looks around nervously) I am actually a SanSan shipper, oddly enough, and nothing else makes sense.
What was your first fanfiction 'ship? (ie, the thing that brought you to fanfiction in the first place)
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Because if that's the line that reeled in Starky, someone else could be out there too, waiting for the courage to step forward and share their thoughts and talents. We're really not as scary as you might think

We'd both have to be stoned, in that case.
In truth, I've utilized Sansaery as a secondary pairing in a few fics, but not really because it 'clicks' for me. I've done it as a measure of femslash solidarity, and also because I have some Stargaryen readers who are also Sansaery fans, and like a literary Santa Claus, I do like to give presents to all of the good girls and boys who take the time to read things I toss out into the Internet ether.
In truth, I don't think Sansa works very well in femslash. Margaery, yes, she works - Sansa, though, I just don't get that 'vibe'. And in all truth, for her to actually make the large, swerving turn to the femslash side of the rainbow as her canon self, that would actually imply she's changing that way due to abuse and damage. Which is a stereotype that isn't particularly healthy for our community.
..and if we are going to go that road, Sansa/Brienne makes a hell of a lot more sense. True Knight, and all that.
Ok, Starky is done rambling, and back to the actual question at hand!
What was your first fanfiction 'ship? (ie, the thing that brought you to fanfiction in the first place)
Xena/Gabrielle. FTW.
What is a 'ship you once loved, but ended up leaving you bitterly disappointed?
So the thing I dislike about Sansaery (in addition to the fact that there's really no actual precedent for it and they barely interact in general) is that it's a case of, for lack of a better term, same-gay.
Dany/Arya works (imo) because they are both pretty alternative when it comes to gender roles, in addition to that, they seem to have complimentary strengths and weaknesses, the two of them together fill in the weak spots and make a better entity. Plus, Arya's canon tomboyishness/passing as a male, and Dany's flagrant bisexuality with her handmaids (plus ::cringes:: making eyes at Asha/"Yara" in HBO canon) gives us precedent for the gay.
Sansaery is just the same character, twice, amplifying the same strengths and leaving huge, gaping pits where they both have weaknesses as they both do what they can in the traditional female role of the Game.
Though I believe that Margaery will sleep with anything that will get her more power or political advantage, there's really no indication that Sansa would go for anything other than a Lordly Prince, unless, of course, severe damage from Joffrey, Baelish, and everyone in between, and we've got that trope enough in femslash as is.
I'd back Starky on Sansa/Brienne, now that Dark!Sansa is a thing and she Didn't kiss Jaime when she had the chance, but I wouldn't have believed it before this season.
For me, anyway, Sansaery just doesn't really make sense. Danarya (Stargaryen at the time) bashed me over the head because it just fit So Well, meanwhile (book canon spoilers)
Sansa/Alayne Stone is off to marry Harry the Heir and retake Winterfell with the Vale men, and Margaery will just keep marrying eligible young princes until she's finally the only queen left standing.
I'd probably back Dany/Margaery before I'd believe Sansaery, actually.

What are you most disappointed that the HBO series has left out?
Partly answering this as a test to see if I can post in 'General Discussion' again
Gods damn them all to hell for leaving out the Faceless Man/Dragon Hunting/Killing Connection. The foreshadowing of which is part of the foundation of our entire ship.
On the flipside... Which change has HBO made that you are most pleased with?

Wait, Starky got banned from general discussion? O..o
Seriously, it's like the FM/Iron Bank/Dragon killing plot thread doesn't even exist.
Best HBO change? Hrm...Podrick, gotta be Podrick. Close second is the extreme awesomeness that is perpetually HBO Brienne.

i am a book reader only after giving up on HBO after season two. Two main reasons were their treatment of Margaery and Melisandre and so many other things but that started it for me.
in the books for me Margaery was not Machiavellian at all. She was merely trying to survive. when they had that conversation with sansa about Joffroy i knew he was toast. I am sure that Olenna planned it and merely Margaery followed along. it has been so long since that book but i think it was Olenna that hugged Sansa and the she noticed the purple gem was gone. my theory why Margaery drinks moon tea is to counteract the poison she and Joffroy drank.
So i see Margaery and Sansa as being in the same boat and that Margaery is just not the raging innocent. she sees the world for what it is and is merely trying to survive.
She would never have turned her father in like Sansa did. she was too wise.
So they were both in the same ship trying to survive. i could see them falling for each other. when i read the books i was and am sure Margaery and her hens were "doing it".
With Sansa i have seen spectacular crashes from the "fall for the straight girl" but i have seen two couples meet as such (one gay and one thought of themselves as straight) and they have married. so it can happen and it can work thought the odds i do admit are against it.
i am a romantic so i go for it.
i hated how the show sexualized Margaery. in the books she could definitely maybe still be a virgin from what was in the books.
I will admit that Sansa is soooo straight seeming but love can happen in the strangest of circumstances.
And i do have to agree about the damage that Sansa soul is taking and her ability to love.
i just like the pairing i guess.
I tend to be attracted to like so again i can see Margaery and Sansa being together.
soooo ... i probably didn't do a good job saying why i think they can make a good pairing but i do feel so
To be truthful with the bummer of the world GRRM setup i can't see any real relationships being able to thrive ... GRRM loves giving us downers.
Welcome~ This forum is a place for all Dany x Arya shippers to meet up and discuss the world, the lore, and the wonderful characters who make this ship! Have fun, everyone!
