Oh cripes, another runescape player! I used to play that too, but didn't get to hold my interest for long
Skyrim (and let's admit Dragon Age had the same effect in all of us xD) has indeed ruined my life back then as well! Thankfully got out of that trap. Can't keep downloading mods forever~
I do know Fire Emblem, even watched my cousin play it, but I've never really played it myself Gotta admit, so far the only games I got for the ds is pokemon.
Dragon Age... Origins = great, 2's only redeaming quality was the characters (Love my pirate captain) and Inquisition was so full of plot holes and fetch quests and ugly armor...and lets not forget the vomit worthy hair styles and utter lack of mod support. at the least the characters were nice. (all my lovely ambassador <33333)
A good rpg, would be Dragons Dogma, if you can ignore the admittedly horrible dialog, and equally bad lip syncing, its a lovely hack and slash, with indepth classes, and fuck, you get to CLIMB ON DRAGONS WHILE YOU FIGHT THEM.
Oh damn, there was actually stuff happening last night and I missed it due to my corporate servitude - time to get caught up! ...and to also turn off my phone. Because if work calls me, I'll just let them think I died for today.
Skyrim is actually a work-in-progress for me. Those games take me forever, because I have OCD and -need- to do all of the quests I can find.. and.. Yeah. You can see why that would be a problem with any Elder Scrolls game. @_@
And FIRE EMBLEM! HELL YES! I think I have all of them... let me check.
Fire Emblem: GBA Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - GBA Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - GameCube Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wii Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon - DS Fire Emblem: Awakening - 3DS Fire Emblem: Birthright - 3DS Fire Emblem: Conquest - 3DS Fire Emblem: Revelation - 3DS (digital download)
I don't know if there are more. These are the ones I have. I am currently working away at Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, after playing the hell out of the first one. I have this thing where I need to play games in order.. my only exception is The Witcher III, because 1/2 did not come out on a Sony console and Microsoft is the devil who doesn't get my monies!

Oh yeah! Someone else knows the beauty of DD! I actually started that one too... then Dark Arisen came out and I re-started my file with that because I wanted that damn unlimited travel stone.

When DD:DA came out for PC, I had preordered that shit so fast. Like, it moved above Fallout 4 for "game I want the most this year". I played the fuck out of it on PS3... and then my sister's girlfriend deleated my save file (lvl 160-ish) while clearing hard drive space and I was just like D= YOU DONT DELETE SAVE FILES. I am always an Assassin class though, because I like my sword. but I love me my exploding arrows.

That was cruel. I will admit part of why I have PS+ is the cloud saving option, because I already lost so many good save files in the past with memory cards botching, or console hard drives crashing.
I really think DD in general deserved a lot more recognition/praise than it got. Aside from the cheese factor, it was really well done and immersive as hell.

Ohh yeahh! I played dragons dogma! That was a nice game too. but now i have a ps4, i don't think i am gonna buy it again to play.
Okay so i am thinking of buying witcher III. Never played its previous 1&2. Should i get it? Is it worth it? Also how is overwatch?
I can say it is entirely worth it - but since the last expansion came out just last month, wait until the inevitable 'Game of the Year' edition that comes complete with everything.
I didn't play 1/2, but I still was able to understand what was happening. And when I needed a bit of extra help, the in game glossary and indexes filled in every gap.
100 hours later, and I'm probably not even half-way through the game. And I still love it.
I am reviving this thread because Games Are Still Life, dammit!
After I stopped writing fic last year while grieving the death of my fandom, and went through a slump of depression, I decided to start working on my backlog (I'll still die with a stack of unplayed games, but, maybe it'll be a little smaller).
I charged up the ol' PSP and booted up Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together. And yes, I do still snicker at the title.
So I got into that, and then realized a few hours in that with all of the betrayals, death of major characters, political machinations and countless shades of grey morality.. I was basically playing ASOIAF with a different name.
I ended up putting the PSP down, feeling all of the old wounds open anew, and mentally sat in a dark corner with my knees pulled up against my chest while mumbling 'can't sleep, clown will eat me. Can't sleep, clown will eat me.'
So what is the point of this?
Nothing really, it's just a funny story I can look back on. And I felt like having an active thread going about games again XD
Surprisingly I havent been playing that much video games since I perminately fucked up my wrist.
I do have the latest Mass Effect, though I havent picked it up in like two months at this point.
Although I was gifted a few from the Steam summer sale, and in a fit of 'shoping theorpy" I did buy myself Xenoverse 2
And I still play the hell out of Skyrm and Fallout 4. Because of mods.
The truth however is a lot of the games I really really really wanted... are all for consoles. Of which I own none. I just have a pc. (Looking at your Harizon Zero Dawn and Breath of the Wilds)

Not surprising at all, and actually completely understandable. Not much fun to do something that causes you pain.
You know, I think this is probably the last generation of consoles as we know them. I mean, they are selling upgraded versions of consoles as if they are PCs now, which is already having a lot of steadfasts deciding that PC Master Race is the future. I mean, with Steam boxes and the fact you can use the same controller as a console, plus all of the mods and DLC becoming the new norm..
There's just not much point to another console generation.
Nintendo will always do their own thing no matter what, but as much as I love Zelda I won't buy a whole console for it (I still refuse to buy a Switch, I just got Breath of the Wild for Wii U).
Welcome~ This forum is a place for all Dany x Arya shippers to meet up and discuss the world, the lore, and the wonderful characters who make this ship! Have fun, everyone!
