Prplmunky here, the presiding Village Elder of Stargaryen (though perhaps not Danarya? I am unsure of my place in the New World Order). Hopefully we can all weather the Danyara storm together and come out the stronger for it.
If not... I've been working on the beginnings of original fiction...
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Because if that's the line that reeled in Starky, someone else could be out there too, waiting for the courage to step forward and share their thoughts and talents. We're really not as scary as you might think
WELCOME prplunky! We're honored by you joining us in our shenanigans. There's no such new world order Just a name where we can block out other ships who have started calling their pairings Stargaryen sadly D:
And... original fiction you say? Looking forward to that, friend~
Munky, no matter where we go or what this 'ship ends up being called - You are Our Elder.
You were the -first- Arya/Dany writer. You survived the brutal, desolate Stargaryen Wastes, even as mirages danced in front of your eyes.
You inspired all of us to Be The Change We Wanted To See (seriously, I read that on your ff.net bio and it removed my last excuse to NOT write stuff...)
You hold the Valyrian Steel cane. And so shall it ever be.

And what lovely shenanigans they are I'm not quite sure what other pairings could be construed as Stargaryen, unless it's old school Rhaegar/Lyanna fics, cuz Jon and Dany would be some form of TarTar, no? Furthermore, where did you find such snarky bastards? So that I my go and beat them with my cane...
The OF has some starter chapters and a lot of world building and concept work that I throw at Starky during my morning and lunch breaks just to make sure I haven't gone totally off the deep end when making creative decisions. If you are interested I could throw them up somewhere, at least the intro chapters, because n00b original content writer has intellectual property paranoia. Though I guess Missy Good posting her Dar and Kerry manuscripts didn't seem to harm her any...

Aha! I knew actually filling out my bio with things that were meaningful would someday pay off.
Convincing Starky to write and finding MrsMunky on OKCupid of all places has basically won me the internet lottery. Twice.
Maybe I should stop buying tickets...

Sadly, we do have friends who ship Sansa/Dany, even Bran/Dany xD Jon/Dany as well, especially in the tumblr tags, so we had to find a unique name so our posts there won't mix. Well, that's how the chips fall I guess.
I... Mi-- holy moses, did you just say Dar and Kerry by Melissa Good?
Yeh, I've seen tons of fics, especially from the old Bard archives published afterwards. Latest one I think is the Captive Prince series, which were originally posted in Livejjournal, but seriously though -- however you are comfortable! Color me interested~

I cannot even begin to Fathom how on earth Sansa/Dany happens. Bran is...well, I personally think he's one of the dragon heads, but he's got the legacy of the weirwoods to live with!

That I did I read most of the Academy of Bards one summer (alphabetically and skipping outright pr0n and gen. fic.) and realized the stories I liked were all by the same author.
Sidenote: did you ever read Of Drag Kings and the Wheel of Fate? I am seeing a possible book club in the future either way...
I don't think I've seen the Captive Prince series, is it still hosted somewhere?
The burning question for OF is then: angsty, super queer scientifically sound vampires, or environmental apocalypse sci fi?

Well you know how fandoms are If it exists, there's a ship for it.

Oh hells I read Drag Kings like a thirsty man, during my days figuring out who I was, never knew it was because I connected with the 'Xena Uber' character xD Absolutely loved that series, though I heard the second part was not that good? I think I've heard of Wheel of Fate, but to be honest I've read... embarrassingly so much Xena fics, I - er... I can't remember, sorry! xD augh, my memory...

In light of the Bury Your Queers campaign, I'm thinking people are going to lean more towards happier stories I guess? xD
Burning Dreams was indeed less good, it lost momentum or...I'm not sure, perhaps the characters just didn't have enough substance or imperiled world scheme to make the sequel fly, I think it was actually based on a Samhain short that she did about spirits coming home. It was the only series I came across with drag, tattoos, pagans and reincarnation all at the same time, which is what made it memorable XD
Looking back, the description of my fiction makes it sound So much more emo than it actually is. I am not an angst muffin and have Many rants with Starky about the Severe amounts of unhealthy queer lady relationships in published works (read ANY synopsis for Bold Strokes Books) and will not beat the victim of tragedy trope with a perpetual writing stick.
The environmental apocalypse actually has fairly positive characters, just a not so great environment to live in as compared to today...
But it can always wait until I'm more polished, I've also got fantasy story structure analysis because I've been doing comparative research against successful novels.

Yeaah, I guessed as much, I think everybody's angry about how the media currently portrays us :I Looking forward to seeing your work on the shelves then I'm always a sucker for apocalyptic settings. All that hard work is definitely going to pay off~
Welcome~ This forum is a place for all Dany x Arya shippers to meet up and discuss the world, the lore, and the wonderful characters who make this ship! Have fun, everyone!
