I can see both Arya and Dany being the toller one and either could be amazingly cute. One thing I want to see is Arya being shorter and then growing like, a half inch taller than Dany and lording it over her like the little shit she is. Me and the General have pretty like minds on just about everything, you'll find (which is why we collab so much and so well ), so I'd love to explore Arya's identity thematically and narratively, with genderfluidity and sexuality and noble vs smallfolk and No One vs Someone and all that happy stuff. Internal conflict about the self and about who/what someone is at their core, what it means to be them... That's totally my bag.
Ok, I will say there is a lot of appeal to Arya starting out shorter, then growing some, and yes, lording it over Dany. Because I have so much love for Snarky!Arya.
And if your current works are an example of how well you and the General collab, then I say 'bring on more!'. Whatever it is you two have, it works damn well.
Exploring Arya's identity thematically and narratively, with actual thoughtful depth? Yes. Hell yes. This is me, holding my place, first in line. I have my tent, and survival rations. I shall not be moved. Because there is no way I am going to miss this.
Either smol like me. Because I can relate to that a lot.
or tall, like 5'7-5'9. So not Brianne of Tarth tall, and beautiful. We saw in the flashbacks in the show that her aunt was actually rather tall, even as a girl. So I kinda like the idea of her returning to a Winterfell ruled by her sister, and being taller, and just as beautiful, given how she was teased

Oh, you'll find that Starky, Dayz and I can write essays on different aspects and themes, and headcanons and theories. The comment section of our stories on AO3 tend to be massive because of that. (I'm actually known for starting long discussions. I believe Starky coined it the "Revan Effect")
My story Frosted Faith actually does go into how Nobels and Smallfolk have different views on things. The expectation of gender roles, and roles in general within society, and how whats right, vs whats expected can cause a great deal of internal conflict within characters. The best part is I added in those elements without the intention of doing so. They just occurred because they are a natural part of the world we are playing in here.

I actually like to write an Arya that -could have been- beautiful... but she rejected that 'acceptable' beauty, in order to be who she wanted. Her work with the FM has latticed her with scars, she's kept her hair short, and she wears warrior's clothing, not only because she 'didn't want to be a lady', but in rebellion against her 'inheritance'. She's muscular rather than curved, and everything the world tells her that she can not be. 'Arya was a trial, it must be said. Half a boy and half a wolf pup. Forbid her anything and it became her heart’s desire.' She wants to be everything she is told she can not be, and to have everything she is told is out of her reach. On a personal level, that really resonates with me.
I think we all interject pieces of ourselves into our writing of these characters... and that's why they can end up being different in our interpretations and our presentations of them.
And that is a big part of what makes this particular fandom so very interesting. Read enough of our fics, and you -will- find something you can personally relate to. It's inevitable.

Entirely true! And yes, the 'Revan Effect' is so very, very real. You can already see it starting here.

Oh same. But when I say "Just as beautiful as Sansa" I dont mean in that traditional way. I wish I had a picture I could show you(let me find one because theres always pictures from events), but I'm in the SCA, and the princess for the area I'm in is also a heavy fighter. and shes fucking hot, and I saw her in armor this weekend and I was just like "fuckmeplease" in my head. (shes also a huge fucking nerd, and its adorkable.)
Couldnt find one from the event this weekend however....
So not tradionally pretty like her sister, but still attractive. (like if Sansa and Brianne had a love child?)

lol. Yes. And I'm not sorry at all for bouncing between threads and subforums and stiring up conversation.

Ah! So now we have an 'adorkable' (I love that word) non-traditional princess who is also a heavy fighter, and the woman of Revan's dreams! Now we just need to see a pic of Revan herself next
Really though, I get what you mean now. Very good illustration.
lol. Sadly the princess of the summits is married.
But she does serve as a great way to show what I mean in this case. (If nothing else, the example is a good headcanon for Lyandra, since we know her to be a bit wild, but still fem. I cant remember if its canon, or accepted fannon that Lyandra Stark was the Knight of the Laughing Tree?)
Oh good. because I totally accept that fannon as canon.
I also have headcanon of warrior queen sansa. -coughs- I'm all about my strong ladies
