For me it was actually Lexa before I even knew about the 100! One friend posted a picture that showed Lexa between daenerys and drogo and said she looked like their daughter and head canoned it. That's when I first saw Daenarys and Lexa and the rest is history

oh, in a clexa GOT AU you mean? hhmmm, I could see Lexa be the faithfull daughter of Danerys and having been taught by Arya, her stepmother somehwat, in the arts of being an assasin. Then one day she would on behalf of her Targaryen blood head out to find other dragon eggs. I can imagine that at this time there is a growing rebellion against Daenerys, of people who want to be free from the iron throne and Clarke would be their leader lexa finds an egg in her terriotory but also finds herself prisoner of Clarke soon, who keeps her as leevrage againts daenerys. and the unevitable happens

I remember way back when Season 1 first came out my gay heart thought “holy shit these ladies are hot and awesome, I’d love to read about some of them together”. But I didn’t find anything that really appealed to me available. A few years later I saw Margaery/Sansa on my tumblr and checked in on the series. Dany/Arya really appealed to me and I think I read Alligence and When the Sun Rises in the East at the time but again there wasn’t much out there so I moved on to other fandoms (Once Upon a Time I think). Then I saw the Ice Dragon, explored the verse again and found more Dany/Arya accessibility then before and was pleased.
I once had the idea of Dany/Drogo being Heda Lexa’s bio parents and Dany/Arya being the parents who raised her. Dany, Drogo, and Arya would all belong to different tribes with Drogo being Khal of the Plains Tribe, Dany being Mother of the Desert/Hills Tribe, and Arya being a disgraced cousin of Queen Nia (and assassin). When Clarke goes to Polis she meets the heads of government for the world and finds out that Lexa’s mom and dad and mama are awe inspiring leaders and warriors in their own right. It included the idea of Dany being the one who taught Lexa defenestration of enemies. Also this power block would go a long way to explaining how little Lexa united all the tribes together. And of course the leader of the Boat Tribe would be her night blood twin who Lexa let run away from the conclave.
