After the force jonerys and the dreaded Boatsex and all the S8 leaks. I dont think anyone here really cares about S8. In fact, I'm pretty sure the for the most part we are rather pleased that we get a year long break. xD
I don't watch the show anymore, but I'm sort of torn. I'm glad there's more time until the final season, hopefully that means there will be a little more depth to it and because the fandom will likely never be as active again once the show is over. (Whether that's good or bad 'iunno, but it will be different.) But I wish it were just over already. Also I'll miss seeing new Maisie/Arya stuff this year.

As for rather or not the fandom will continue to be active... I think that won't be a problem. Having the end means we have a canon end. And thus we'll know what we have to work with.
Hopefully you will not be right Revan. It would really annoy me if all stories r ideas would end or all would only ship Dany/Jon. Sadly i have seen that too often after the "real Pairing" was reveiled in some books or movies. So the actie fan members of another pair died out.
But we can only watch, i know i will even if it should be crap.
i think grrmartin said that the book ending and the hbo ending will be a little different btw...so maybe if people don't like one they can go with the other when it is finally released
uhoh she did.... i thought some of the other cast seemed cautiously optimistic... i suppose it depends on who you are hoping ends up on the throne and who dies... i kind of hope the whole throne melts
