But has anyone ever noticed that...at least when it comes to femslash/ w|w/lesbian ships like 98% of the ships are between a blonde and brunette ? (Or brunette and redhead)

Arya / Daenerys - Our She Wolf and Dragon Queen, this goes without saying of course.
Xena / Gabby - THE ORIGINAL OG LESBIANS
Lexa / Clarke - Heda/Wanheda from the100. I'm still not over Lexa's death.
Jane / Marua - Rizzoli&Isles isnt just the name of the show, but the ship. No idea how they didnt end up canon.
Lena / Kara - Aka Supercorp.
Oliva / Alex - Once upon a time, Olivia was Detective McButch of NYC's SVU and how she didnt end up with the Nerdy and rick ADA I dont know
Regina / Emma - Yet another Queen and her should have been Knight.
Elphaba / Galinda - Okay so if you havent read Wicked you might not know this ship. And okay, Elphaba has black hair, but I'm still counting this.
Bo / Lauren - Because of course Doccubus.
Brittany / Santana - Okay, I never watched Glee. But even I've heard of this ship.
Alex / Piper - OitNB is gay as fuck. And the this pairing constantly rips out hearts.
Peggy / Angie - Not canon, but how often are any of our ships? The original Agent of Shield and her former dorky roommate make this list
Beca / Chloe one of those for mentioned Brunette / Red hair pair, this one totally sung its way into my heart to the accapella NAKED SHOWER duet early in the first movie.
Nikki / Helen - This one some of you younger folk might not know of, since Bad Girls was a british drama about a women's prison. BUT THESE TWO GOT A HAPPY ENDING
Tara / Willow - Yet another OG Lesbian pairing. And as far as I know the first lesbian struck down by a "Stray Bullet"
Luce / Rachel - Watch Imagine Mr & You, and have conflicting feelings about Cersei from now on. Do it.
Andrea / Miranda - Technically this counts since Miranda while she has white hair, was canonly either a blonde or redhead (And her actress is blonde sooo...)
Lucy / Amy - D.E.B.S. - Gotta love parody spy movies with a catchy musical number.
Sara / Catherine - I'm sure old timers will remember this old school CSI pairing.
Janeway / Seven - These are the voyages... of one of the gayest ships in Starfleet. Why? beeecaaauuuseee
B'Elanna / Seven - Dark haired half klingons or kiss-by-fire captains, Seven got femslash game.
Daisy "Skye" / Jemma - Okay, so Jemma is less blonde and more a light dirty blonde, and as the seasons passed her hair got darker. But I'm still counting this.
And these are just the ships off the top of my head.
My question is why?
Like, is it just a coincidence or are we preset to ship the brunette with the blonde? Like what in the world is going on here? xD
