Just wanna give some love to the Dorne plot and House Martell:
This might be an old topic to be discussed with. I just missed House Martell and Dorne (and the Water Gardens), actually a big fan of House Martell, they're one of the awesomest houses of westeros. It's a major piss off that HBO with D&D butchered the Dorne plot. House Martell and their members are even more badass in the books rather than what they have been portrayed them in the show. Prince Doran isn't a push over Prince of Dorne in the books along with his cunning and passionate daughter Arianne Martell, future Princess of Dorne and heiress of Sunspear (unfortunately Arianne is not included in the tv series because they butchered the Dorne plot.) and as for the sand snakes there's eight of them and their even more deadlier and dangerous as describe in the books. How I wished I had seen more of Dorne in the show.
With Arianne plan to put myrcella baratheon/lannister on the iron throne, because by Dornish custom, she should have come before her younger brother Tommen.
Then theres Prince Doran, as his plot first to marry viserys to his daughter and heir. But Viserys died by liquid gold. so then he sends his eldest son to try and call in that agreement with Daenerys, want him to wed the mother of dragons (But he dies in dragon fire)
like there was some long game being played in Dorne, but we never got to see any of it. Arg.
That's why the books is a bazzillion times beter than the show. They could have lengthen the season if they included the juice of the books (the dorne plot, young griff/mummer's dragon plot and many more) which showcases the real playing of the Game of Thrones. The Dorne Plot shouldn't be a push over plot; it shouldn't be as mediocre as what the show runners made it to be, buuuut... fuckin' HBO and D&D just killed that element of the Dorne plot that I love so much; House Martell fronting this subtle, discreet and silent facade in the face of the realm but it turns out they're planning something much more sinister that even the Lannisters/Baratheons in Kings Landing will not see it coming. What annoys me in the show is that they made Prince Doran as a weak-assed Prince of Dorne who doesn't had the balls to stand against the Lannisters in King's Landing who murdered her sister by the hands of The Mountain and Oberyn who again been murdered by The Mountain on Tyrion's trial-by-combat, a Prince who doesn't had a plan; a trick in his sleeves to avenge his siblings. Doran is more cunning than anyone thinks of him despite his sickly appearance.
P.S. I'm gonna say this again and again: FUCK HBO AND D&D FOR THEIR MEDIOCRE FANFIC. YOU LEFT THE GOOD PARTS OF THE BOOKS THEN GIVE US THE SHITTIEST PLOTS YOU CAN THINK OF, THAT'S JUST LAZY-ASSED WRITING YOU GOT THERE. WHERE'S THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE IN THAT?! SMDFH.
