Hmmm.... I guess for me they're both the representation of what Ice and Fire is. I even think that they're both Lyanna/Rhaegar incarnates because of their strong resemblance to their kin; Arya being the likeness of her aunt Lyanna: the wolf blood is present, both resented being bombarded by expectations of being the stereotypical lady of a noble house and both are also strong-willed person. And there's Daenerys being the epitome of what and who a Targaryen is: beautiful, intelligent and is someone who's so very hard not to fall for just like her big brother Rhaegar. And also an addition on what caught my interest in this pairing is that for me the term "the song of ice and fire" by GRRM doesn't only pointing out about the "Prince that was Promised" who will deliver the realm against the dark forces threatening destruction to Westeros. I translate it on my own as the Ballad(song) of how Love springs between a Stark(Ice) and a Targaryen(Fire) despite the odds which is holding them back; Lyanna being promised to a baratheon and Rhaegar being married to a dornish princess of house martell (I'm being my romantic bastard self again am I? Haha. Just Kidding). Anyway, back to the topic at hand I'd connect this perspective to Starky's "Behind the Lines" wherein Lyanna never died after giving birth to her and rhaegar's child annnnnd.... For the 2nd time she witness how the "song of ice and fire" will again happen and will be written in the pages of the realm's history through Arya and Daenerys just as how love existed between her an rhaegar. And an addition before I end my ranting hehe. I do also love your fics especially the fanfic entitled "When the Sun Rises in the East" so much fluff especially when Arya professes her devotion to Dany being her One True Queen not only in Westeros but also in her heart. You and Starky are the ones who convince me to love the pairing even more through your beautifully crafted fanfics. I'm tellling you your fanfics are masterpieces and jewels of this ship. I say Hats Off to the both of you. Hope you will write more of it and I would love to indulge myself reading it
