We only played with four players and it lasted from roughly 6:30/7 last night to around 11. I don't know if we played it exactly by the rules because we didn't really take the time to read through the rule book properly before playing but I won and I was the Starks so heh.
I found that the rules were much easier to explain with moderate handwaving away of harder instructions after a few drinks of a friend's mom's Apple Jack that she shipped over from Rhode Island and a 30 minute YouTube tutorial. At around 30 pages, I think that's the longest instruction manual (short of D&D) that I've ever encountered.
Since it's GoT, any contestation of rules should be settled by taking the action that screws over and kills the most people...
Also, you made it through all ten turns?!
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Because if that's the line that reeled in Starky, someone else could be out there too, waiting for the courage to step forward and share their thoughts and talents. We're really not as scary as you might think
Meh, played again tonight and started to play more by the rules and lost to my brother. By the end of set up we just had the rule book to look up confusing shit and continued to mostly play by our own rules for it.
Sounds good.
No, first play through last night or on the 21(different time zones whatever), I ended up with 7 castles and strong holds. Tonight's(the 22nd) game lasted to the full ten rounds though like I side we were playing by our own rules and doing each order token group was done all at once instead of for example one march token per player at a time... if that makes any sense.
